Michael J Nicola

Michael Nicola grew up on a ranch in western Nebraska. From a young age when he wasn’t in school, he and his brother were working cattle and horses. Mike credits his ranch upbringing for his strong work ethic. He grew up in a world where a handshake was your “word”, and still lives by that.

Mike attended Creighton University and later graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Science (Pre-Med).

After spending a couple years working for an oil company, a friend convinced Mike to get into the financial services industry. He started his career as a Financial Advisor for a Regional Broker/Dealer in Denver. He then moved to the wholesale side of the business; as a successful mutual fund and annuity wholesaler, Divisional Sales Manager and National Sales Manager. He has also led National Account teams.

More recently Mike has been consulting to small financial services companies, FMOs and RIAs. He is the author a book on wholesaling, Seven Common Threads of Success, and has developed a presentation on attitude entitled The Four Bones, which he delivers to sales teams and employee groups.

Mike is the past President on the National Little Britches Rodeo Association and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, and the Double Angel Foundation.
